Another hard work Cornish session!! Seemed like lots of wind, but almost onshore at Widemouth with reasonable chunks piling in. Unfortunately wind eased a bit and the waves blocked out the best of the wind. Got planing (just) and made it out a fair way each time, but always waiting for the next lull and punishment time!! Rode a few waves in, up the line, but even that left you way down wind from your start point. Plus the beach was mobbed with wannabe surfers and canoists. The lifeguards have 2 zoned areas for swimmers (ie dorks on body boards) and in between all the surfers (ie dorks on foam boards and canoes). You had to launch tight to the first load of swimmers, then get enough angle to skim across the outside edge of the 'surfers' then make sure you didnt get washed down into the second area of swimmers. Challenging.
